This was raised at our AGM a month ago.

The club is looking at the possibility of running a GT class in 2018. Who would be interested in participating in this class?

Rules would be the same as what is currently being run in Sydney.

- Touring Car with GT 2 door body.

- Muchmore Fleta ZX 17.5 fixed timing. Part numbers MR-FZX175WF or M-AARCMCC175WF .

- Blinky ESC

- Tyres: 32 or 36 Compound. Volante or Much More.

- Fixed FDR of 3.5

Body listings can be found HERE.

Something we need to be carefull of is to not diminish classes for which we are already struggling numbers wise. (mini, F1, 12th scale)

I like the idea and I'd probably run in it, but I do think we need to protect our existing classes. Perhaps if we enforce the focus class thing a bit more next year, we could pull it off...

I am up for it. I think others may come on board.

I'm more keen for this after running the Bathurst style event from last weekend using the 17.5 motor.

Would probably drop VTA though, and keep running mini.

All for fun

By the amount of interest we've had Luke. I'd be saying yes mate. If you want to test the waters without jumping in head first I have a 17.5 motor you can try if you wish. (It is a few years old and not ultra fast though). There if you want to borrow it.
